Front and Back-end Developer Intern

Overview
We are looking for a talented front and back end developer to create a beautiful SaaS based web app. You must be able to work independently with clear direction and goals, communicate with team members, build beautiful code, troubleshoot, and be willing to learn new platforms. We are looking for a young developer seeking college credit and deferred payment. Working up to 20 hours per week is the key to successfully completing this project. We are looking for someone in their junior or senior year and can commit up to two semesters for the project.
Responsibilities
Back-end responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of new innovative online tools related Public Relations and marketing toolset
Develop server-side code to create technology projects and features
Assist in database design and implementation
Assist in tracking down and debugging issues with frontend or server-side code written by other developers
Front-end Responsibilities
Implement UI components based on supplied mockups
Create JavaScript and jQuery widgets to support UI functionality
Work with a separate team of server-side developers to integrate technology projects and features
Write clean code
Experience
Experience with application scaling techniques, particularly partitioning and sharding of MySQL databases
HTML5, CSS3
Experience working with object-oriented JavaScript
Experience developing web-based applications in LAMP/WAMP/MAMP stack
Experience developing web-based applications and UI’s
Skills
Fluency in Object Oriented Programming, and PHP5’s implementation of it
Complete understanding of relational database concepts, including JOIN statements and foreign key constraints
Experience implementing third-party APIs
Experience setting up, maintaining, and normalizing databases
Fluency in Object Oriented Programming, including the Symfony Framework
Ability to write valid xHTML, CSS, SQL, and JavaScript code
Experience with front-end technologies and libraries such as Ajax and jQuery
Ability to render design mockups into xHTML/CSS
Education
B.S. in Computer Science
