GUI Engineer

Overview
Encouraged by results to date, FlashFoto is adding a GUI Developer to accelerate development and go to market of its image segmentation software. This person will participate in UI strategy meetings and as part of the Engineering team, ensure alignment on integration with our image processing engine. We are not looking for someone to do front end button and data form screens, but rather someone who knows how to build interactive graphical interfaces at the pixel level, including image back-buffers, multiple layers, alpha transparency handling, and interactive mouse-driven graphics and painting.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of C# and .NET as well as solid knowledge of interactive graphics and pixel-level image and visual interface control.

FlashFoto’s software is based on patent-pending computer vision research at the cutting edge of computer vision and mathematics.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the GUI strategy for our segmentation application
Collaborate with team members who are developing photo image analysis and segmentation software
Technologies in use include C++, C#, and MatLab programming tools
Reports to the head of engineering
Experience
Experience with GUI programming using C# and .NET
Thorough understanding of visual interface and pixel-level graphics programming
Some familiarity with STL and C++ templates
Interest in visual image processing
5+ years of programming experience, and a Bachelor's or equivalent
Education
Bachelor's or equivalent
