General Manager: Medical Society & Hospital System Business Lines

The Director/General manager is responsible for deepening strategic relationship and exceeding the assigned revenue goals for DocBookMD’s existing customers. He/She is responsible for communicating DocBookMD’s value proposition, introducing new DocBookMD technologies and selling our strategic service packages into our existing customers.

Reporting to the COO, the Director/General Manager will run two lines of business within DocbookMD. Leadership in future product development, marketing activities, sponsor acquisition and management and customer experience are critical success factors. The ideal candidate will have a successful background in digital medical systems and business management (such as; divisional P&L, domestic and international sales, marketing, and operations).

We are looking for an extremely high-energy leader who can take an early stage business to the next level. Focus will be on lean and efficient overhead scaling that grows the business in a smart manner. This position has inherent elements of ambiguity – processes are yet to be defined. Thus, the ideal candidate can thrive in an early stage company setting, with an aptitude to grow the business rapidly.
User Growth – develop strategic account/industry/constituent plans for DocBookMD’s targeted user communities, resulting in an increase of the use and penetration of DocBookMD solutions.
Revenue Growth – acquire necessary sponsorship to achieve revenue goals. Sustain existing sponsorship relationships.
Project Management – execution and measurement of key DocBookMD user communities’ uptake of the company’s offerings.
Communication – strong cross-functional communication skills within the broad Docbook ecosystem of medical societies, sponsors, partners, and hospitals.
Develop and Drive the business strategy, value proposition, and overall P&L with financial targets for growing DocBookMD value proposition into key arenas – such as medical societies and hospitals.
Run the medical society and hospital business line operations through a matrix operation – shared services from centralized ops and dedicated services within the DocBookMD organization
Provide a strong leadership role in marketing, user experience, and new product development efforts.
Be a visible and vocal presence for DocBookMD in the marketing efforts to the digital medical industry.
People Leadership in recruiting, development, and retaining key employees.
Masters degree/MBA preferred
Medical products and digital medical experience is critical
Successful track record of running a P&L
Extraordinarily high energy, enthusiasm and integrity in completing your daily activities with customers, partners and internal team members.
Proven ability to develop strategic business relationships with executives which resulted in consistent revenue growth, referencable customer relationships and achievement of defined revenue goals
Strong discipline, execution and measurement of key project milestones required to consistently achieve the customer commitments with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently communicate complex or complicated requirements verbally and in writing to customers, business partners and internal teams.
Strong team player, capable of managing multiple projects requiring input from multiple departments, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
Excellent leadership skills
Strong strategic planning ability with proven experience developing and leading a consumer products business in a still developing industry
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills including the ability to multi-task
Strong analytical skills a must
Strong communication skills (written and oral)
Excellent technical understanding, smart apps fluency
Strong team development skills and experience
Strong customer focus
Willingness to travel for customer and partner meetings as necessary.
