This is a great opportunity for a senior currently studying at a Boston-area college or a recent grad. Shuttersong is a brand new photo/audio app designed and built in Boston. We've raised $1.6 million so far and have a loyal user base. Shortly we'll be announcing some exciting brand relationships that will dramatically increase our awareness and revenue. The app has been written up in many publications and shown on several TV programs. You can see the app in action at http://bit.ly/17WZbhr
We need someone to create Shuttersong images for use in presentations to brands so they can see how Shuttersong can be a part of their marketing efforts. You can work from home (actually you have to because we don't have an office yet), but you'll become a part of our team. This won't require a lot of time in the beginning and we don't expect you to go sleepless because of us. If you're really good at this there is a possibility of more hours or even a real job later this year.
Finally, we're not your typical mobile app founders - we've been involved in high tech marketing for decades and are deeply design driven. The UI and identity was designed for us by Carbone Smolan in NY -- so we have really high standards for creativity and quality. If this sounds like you, apply.
Create Shuttersong images using photoshop, instagram and other photo apps combined with the Shuttersong app to present to prospective brands under the direction of our CMO
Research and edit sound files as needed for these images
Create mockups of brand websites that integrate Shuttersong images
Update our website as needed
Moderate our user photo stream to ensure that images displayed meet our terms of service
Provide support to our outside design firms as needed
Ideally you should have some experience (although we know how hard it is to get started in a career). School newspapers, non-profits or even helping a family member's business is legit experience. The perfect candidate will have at least one internship in the past where design was a key component of the assignment. You should have a portfolio that shows off your creative and technical skills. We can tell good work when we see it.
Photoshop and Illustrator are essential
Shuttersong lover (so download it now and start using it)
Deadline oriented and quality obsessed
You should be in your senior year at a Boston-area college with a major in graphic or interactive design or have recently graduated. Grades matter as it tells us something about your commitment to your craft and how you've prioritized your life/school balance.
Good news, this is a paid internship. It's probably 8-10 hours a week at this point so we'll work out an arrangement that matches your experience and skill set.
As we grow we'll increase the number of hours.
