Growth & Engagement Specialist

Responsibilities
Use statistical analysis and data mining techniques to extract meaning from member and doctor engagement and feature performance
Design and implement methods to drive user and doctor growth and engagement
Develop robust reports and metrics dashboards to track a variety of engineering, business, and product metrics
Develop tools and systems that help teams develop deep and actionable insights into specific metrics
Experience
Degree in a quantitative discipline (applied mathematics, statistics, CS, or related field)
Relevant experience working on data analytics, and knowledge relevant tradecraft and tools
Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches
Comfort working with and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources, a strong passion for empirical research and for answering hard questions with data, and a flexible analytic approach that allows for results at varying levels of precision
Strong interest in solving big, challenging problems
Skills
Experience working with large data sets
Experience working with statistical analysis software (R, SAS, SPSS, etc), databases (SQL and NoSQL, MySQL and DynamoDB) and distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, etc.).
Programming experience (Java, Ruby, scripting languages)
MS or PhD preferred but not required
Experience at a fast paced startup
