The role
Do you have a passion for building awesome web apps? Are you a JavaScript ninja? Do you consider jQuery or MooTools must haves in your toolkit, but take pride in building slick animations and transitions in CSS3? Interested in building installable web apps that run on a new application platform, Pokki, using the latest in HTML5 technologies? Ready for the fast paced life at a Google Ventures-funded startup? If you answered yes to all these questions, then we'd love for you to come join our dedicated team in downtown San Diego.
We're looking for someone to develop web apps for our new platform - Pokki. Pokki enables web developers to create rich, connected mini-desktop applications, called Pokkies, using the latest web standards. Think Chrome and not Internet Explorer! What you’ll be doing
Developing web applications on the Pokki platform (eg. Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Instagram)
Developing an App Store for users to discover and install Pokkies
What we’re looking for
The ability to take high-level requirements and produce a refined product
Experience developing highly interactive and rich web-based applications and sites
5+ years of front end web experience, including experience with jQuery/MooTools and OOP
Expert-level experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
Other things we'd like to see (nice to have's)
Startup experience
UI and UX oriented development process
LAMP experience
