POSITION: HARDWARE ENGINEER
Backed by tier 1 venture capitalists (Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures) and top Silicon Valley angels, Misfit Wearables is developing highly wearable sensor products and services for wellness and medical applications.
Research, design, development, testing and support of the electronic hardware and mechanical components used within new and novel wearable sensing products, production equipment and research support apparatus. You’ll be involved in the entire new production development process.
Analysis and feasibility studies related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware for products and production support equipment.
Assist in the development and execution of test set-ups and application programs to troubleshoot and resolve product issues reported by customers and/or to validate products to all applicable product requirements.
Assist the design assurance team in the verification and validation of the hardware design including preparation of test protocols/reports.
Investigate and resolve issues due to hardware component obsolescence and resolving product corrective action requests to improve product quality and manufacturability.
Mentor and train the team members in hardware development SOPs and common used practices in the industry.
Minimum of 5 years experience designing electronic circuits including embedded systems and analog circuits.
Strong experience with hardware design and simulation software such as Orcad and Altium.
Design of low power, low noise electronic circuits for portable battery powered devices.
Design for high volume manufacturing in medical device or consumer electronic industry
Ability to rework hardware and willingness to support firmware engineers
B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S.E.E. preferred)
