Overview
SoundCloud is the biggest platform on the web for sound and audio, not just music. We're also part of changing the perception and action of how people use sound across the web. Holding a leading position in the content team, your role will be focused on creating and implementing business strategy for all forms of existing and emerging non-music audio content -- from radio, podcast and audio-blogging, to comedy, celebrities and entertainment, to audiobooks, archives, education and beyond.

You will take a lead on seeking new and innovative uses of SoundCloud for large media organizations, publishers, content partners and the long tail of sound creators. You will become a vocal champion, both internally and externally, for thinking about new ways to use audio on the social web and across mobile devices. In addition to seeking out new business opportunities and content partnerships, you will help grow SoundCloud’s rapidly growing user base of sound creators and publishers.
Responsibilities
Making non-music as significant as music on SoundCloud.
Build and lead the audio content team.
Develop relationships with key non-music content partners.
Meet and engage with key media companies and publishers.
Attend and represent SoundCloud at industry events and within related media.
Create and implement strategy around non-music audio.
Set objectives and align business goals with key metrics.
Oversee the non-music content team in attracting and educating new users and content partners.
Develop relevant sales materials and processes.
Report on progress against key metrics to internal stakeholders.
Experience
Making non-music as significant as music on SoundCloud.

Skills

Minimum 5-6 years management level experience in related digital media sector.
Proven track record of innovation or developing new business models within an existing industry.
Strong network of relationships within media companies and content partners.
Ability to communicate effectively at a range of different levels, from the end-user to the CEO.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
Results driven and well organized, with an attention to numbers and detail.
Strong understanding of key players the digital media space.
