Hiring Full Stack Senior Engineers (Rails/iOS/Android)

at Zipmark in New York, NY   —   Jun 27, 2014   |
Zipmark is a mobile and online alternative payments company. We enable people and businesses to pay each other using their real bank accounts through the digital checking infrastructure. Our product is currently in private beta with a couple of commercial customers today. We just closed a significant seed financing round and the future looks bright.

We are leveraging modern software and technology to speed up transactions in the real banking system, provide higher levels of trust around transactions, and remove barriers that traditional and existing alternative payment systems impose on users and merchants.
You don't have to be an expert in all of our current technologies, but you should be able to pick up new languages and technologies quickly, have an intense desire to learn and craft great software. We are moving people's money, which means that we are working in an environment where there are real consequences. As such, a desire to create and improve operational processes that will contribute to high quality, low defect software is also something we value greatly. To us this means automated testing, continuous integration, lots of monitoring/metrics, and staying agile enough to respond to change.
Bonus points if you have a deep understanding of cryptography or modern web application/mobile security issues.
We use a lot of technologies but today we primarily work with:
Ruby and Rails
native Objective-C apps on the iPhone
native Java apps built for the Android SDK
postgresql and redis
cloud(EC2) and traditional infrastructure providers
competitive salary + benefits + equity
