Nanigans is currently seeking an experienced IT Administrator. The ideal candidate will present strong communication skills and be responsible for supporting internal technical operations. As a member of the IT team, this person will setup and maintain desktops, laptops, phones, office equipment and other back office supporting systems. The IT Administrator will report to the VP of IT and work closely with other members of the IT department to support all end users.
Provide desktop support to co-workers on day-to-day issues involving desktop and laptop computers, desktop applications, printers, desk phones, smartphones, and peripherals
Provision user accounts, computers, phones, and desktop accessories.
Provision and maintain systems in our conference rooms and demo environment
Setup and maintain office equipment including printers, copiers, scanners, projectors, and FAX machines.
Train and orient colleagues on use of hardware, software, etc.
Assist in standardizing PC configurations and providing hardware/software updates including operating system, network client, hard drive, memory, CD/DVD drives, printer, scanner, etc.
Maintaining accurate equipment inventory
Assist users with corporate email operation and support
Provide timely follow up and status reports to users until issue is resolved.
Document service requests, incidents, and problems in corporate service desk application (JIRA).
Communicate any escalated issues to management and document progress of assigned incidents and service requests.
Order parts and equipment from vendors.
Interact with vendors to troubleshoot issues.
Assist with software releases and code promotions including communication to users.
Renew support contracts for IT hardware, software, and services.
Lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
Strong customer service orientation
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and listening skills
Ability to logically troubleshoot common desktop support issues; including standard PC/ MAC hardware, software, and peripherals
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
Provide end user support for remote offices.
Technical skills will involve some or all of the following: Microsoft Windows and Office products; Norton antivirus software; TCP/IP, and PC hardware; phone systems; LAN network architecture; Internet concepts.
Proven ability to seek out and solve problems; go beyond the obvious to gain insight into areas which have broader impact on the company's overall performance.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner using industry best practices and procedures.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of IT technologies, solutions, trends, and industry best practices;
Must be able and willing to carry loads of up to 50lbs such as computer and office equipment
Experience working in a corporate environment.
Experience with OSX and Windows 7 Operating Systems.
Experience with smartphones and/or tablet devices.
Familiarity with office equipment: network printers, copiers, FAX machines, projectors.
Experience with collaboration tools: web/audio conferencing, instant messaging (IM)
Familiarity with ITIL service delivery processes.
