Overview
Web property in Rutherford, NJ is searching for a IT Security Manager with experience securing servers for a website with millions of hits a day while also maintaining the health of the servers.
Responsibilities
Deliver applications, IT services, hardware and software to the business in a timely, effective, and efficient manner
Work closely with engineering, the database administration, and network operations
Serve as an internal information security consultant to the organization
Develop, implement, manage, and monitor security controls, processes, policies and compliance
Provide expertise and security direction to engineering teams to eliminate and mitigate security issues
Set security standards and security architecture designs
Research, recommends and implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance system security
Work with external and internal resources to perform security assessments and audits of application and infrastructure portfolio
Experience
5+ years of Redhat/CentOS Linux server administration experience
In-depth understanding of Linux fundamentals including kernel subsystems, system calls, inter-process communication, process/resource management and file systems
Comprehensive knowledge of firewalls, load balancers and switches
A minimum 5 years of experience in information security matters (policy, architecture, technology, etc.)
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Information Technology with 7 to 10 years work experience
