In Search of Technical Guru/Co-Founder (part-time to full time)

Overview
Sharefund is a stealth start up creating a novel platform for helping families manage a loved one’s health crisis. The application involves seamless integration of financial APIs and project management applications. We’ve got big plans for the future and we believe we will impact a lot of people’s lives…when they need it the most! We have also developed plans for revenue generation to ensure a sustainable growth plan.

The Founder has 12+ experience in healthcare and is considered an expert in the area of family caregiving. She has already had preliminary discussions with angel investors. While the company is in an early stage, it is incorporated, has two active advisors and has legal representation.
Responsibilities
Sharefund is looking for a technical co-founder eager to build a solution to an immediate and large family problem. The Technical Co-Founder would develop the vision for application development and make decisions on the overall system architecture and stack. The current prototype of built on a Ruby on Rails stack but we are open to changing platforms. The technical co-founder is responsible for determining how technology can best be used to implement the business strategy while integrating and running the technology. On-going responsibilities include management all software development and eventually management of technical staff and consultants.
We would consider a part-time to full-time position. 30-40 hours of development per week will be required for a part-time role.
Experience
Ruby on Rails,
Skills
Extensive experience developing using Ruby on Rails.
Experience with 3rd party APIs (financial APIs, etc.).
Elegant database architecture and design skills.
Proven track record of the software development lifecycle.
Experience building social networking and e-commerce sites.
Knowledge of consumer recruitment and engagement activities to spur adoption.
Ability to build relationships with coworkers and external partners.
Education
Undergrad in engineering
Street smarts

School of Hard Knocks also a plus
Compensation
Equity based.
