Responsibilities
This position requires quick thinking, hard work, and a sales mindset that is sympathetic to the concerns and issues facing small business owners. Successful candidates will contact prospects to identify, quantify, and pursue new business opportunities with the goal of obtaining qualified applicants for our financial products.
In addition, the candidate will field inbound calls and email requests. The candidate will also assist in the implementation and promotion of various sales and marketing campaigns. This position has tremendous growth opportunities with potential for advancement within our expanding sales organization.
Responsibilities:
Identifies and qualifies potential prospects together with the marketing and sales teams and via online research
High volume outbound calling to turn leads into qualified On Deck prospects
Actively cultivate prospects to foster interest in our solutions and services
Follow up on warm leads resulting from inbound inquiries, referral partners, or events
Keep up-to-date with our resources, tools and offerings, as well as the industry landscape and competitive offerings
Maintain a record of all activities in salesforce.com
Review activity and forecast reports for tracking sales progress
Meet quotas and deadlines
Experience
1-2 years of inside sales experience or college degree with leadership experience
Ability to articulate powerful value proposition to a small business owner in a succinct, simple message
Exceptional active listening skills to identify unique business needs
Perseverance for high volume outbound calling to warm and cold leads
Desire to work in a high-caliber, fast-paced, team environment
Communications, leadership, time-management, and organization skills
High-energy, competitive, action-oriented individual with growth potential
Experience selling products and services into the small business market a plus
Proficient in the use of email, word processing, and spreadsheet software, as well as sales reporting systems and Internet browsing / research.
Prior experience using salesforce.com a plus
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience
