Blackbird.io (FKA PalominoDB & DriveDev) is looking for our first Inside Sales Representative to join our growing sales team and cover the North East. Whether it's projects for Adobe, Zendesk, Chegg, or Edmodo, we're extremely ambitious and excited about the teams with which we get to work.
Reporting to the VP Global Sales, the North East Inside Sales Lead is expected to prospect and develop new customer leads, introducing Blackbird’s suite of services. This will be a quota carrying inside sales position with the majority of the business being conducted via phone, and/or internet communications. You will call into prospective customers, source leads, and evangelize our vision in both new and proven markets.
Capturing of accurate and complete information in Blackbird’s Salesforce Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) from various marketing sources.
Prospect new accounts and build relationships with potential customers using phone and Internet communications.
Identifying decision makers amongst the targeted leads in order to start sales process.
Generate opportunities within CRM and assign to Sales team for follow up/next steps
Leverage the Blackbird team to conduct discovery, qualify need and demonstrate the value of Blackbird’s services to address those needs.
Reporting to Sales team any additional input that would aid in a higher conversion within each lead.
Actively maintain a sales pipeline in accordance with Blackbird’s process and philosophies.
Attending sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on respective area of responsibility.
Attend regional and national trade shows and conferences
Work with management to determine KPIs for position.
Recommended working hours: M-F 9am PST to 6PM EST (depends on Sales Territory)
Experience with sales generation for consumer, software, or services sales
Must have high ethics, integrity, and humility and have a desire to exceed expectations every day.
Past experience working with a sales organization and contributing to the overall team’s success.
Training in sales effectiveness and business acumen is preferred
Efficiently able to work in fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment to grow pipeline & revenue.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Highly proficient level computer and e-mail skills
Able to multi-task and evolve with shifting priorities.
Strong decision-making, organization, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
Excellent telephone sales personality skills.
A goal to become an expert in Salesforce and associated 3rd Party Applications (ie Marketo, Data.com, InsideView for Sales).
Degree in Business, Marketing, or related (we prefer experience over Education)
OTE + quarterly commission bonus
