Intermediate Designer

The Intermediate Designer supports and maintains a standard of excellence on specific accounts / projects for Brandimage. Special emphasis on design development and studio leadership is required to reinforce our competitive advantage. Packaging experience is required OR you must have diverse design experience in print, marketing communications, in store advertising AND digital.

Provide Leadership
Assume the role of “Design Lead” on small-scale strategic and tactical clients, acting as the brand guardian and working with the Creative Director on all strategic projects
Direct, mentor and motivate junior design staff to ensure they are prepared to develop creative solutions that effectively support our business needs
Assist in leading and inspiring staff to create an optimal, positive work environment with open lines of communication
Present and review design concepts, internally and with clients
Always be ready to promote Brandimage’s competitive advantage with the design community and potential clients
On predetermined clients / projects, oversee design to ensure the creative output meets or exceeds our standards of excellence
Develop creative solutions on specific projects and provide design support based on pre-established directions
Execute design concepts to a level of quality that meets or exceeds our standards of excellence
Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
Assist in the completion of client leave-behinds for Phase 1 projects
Work with the production team to determine reproduction challenges / opportunities
Provide guidance and assessment of work produced by outside suppliers, attend photo shoots and review proofs from film separators and printers (including services hired by clients and other third parti
Packaging experience is required OR you must have diverse design experience in print, marketing communications, in store advertising AND digital.
Education: Graduate from Graphic Arts program
Experience: 3 to 5 years experience with emphasis on package design
Other skills:
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Powerpoint, Keynote
Organizational and presentation skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Time management skills, ability to mentor junior designers
