Overview
Soft Gravity Inc., a Toronto based startup Software Company pioneering the innovative marketing solutions, is looking for an Intermediate Web Developer. We are looking for an excellent communicator with solid web development skills to join a small but growing team. The ideal candidate is a self starter with a great attitude who is passionate about development and has a thirst for learning new technologies. We are looking for a person who is able to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities
Develop components for smaller web and mobile solutions
Automated system & unit level testing (Cucumber, Rspec)
Participate in new product & feature brainstorm sessions
Troubleshooting, bug fixes and misc. operational duties.
Experience
Ruby on Rails (1-3 years)
Javascript (1-3 years)
mySQL or PostgreSQL
PHP
HTML, XML, CSS
Unix / Linux / shell script
Should have knowledge of one other language: Java, .NET, C++, Objective C
Skills
Database development and querying (SQL)
Server-side development (Primarily Rails, with PHP as a plus)
Front-end development (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) using jQuery and/or Prototype+Scriptaculous
Compensation
Fulltime: Benefits & Vacation & Salary ($55,000 to $80,000 per year)
Contract: Hourly Pay - CDN $30 to $45 per hour
