Overview
Warby Parker launched in February 2010 with a rebellious spirit and a lofty objective: to create boutique-quality, classically crafted eyewear at a revolutionary price point. By designing our own glasses and selling them directly to customers through our website, we can offer the highest quality glasses for a fraction of the price of retail stores. The Warby Parker aesthetic is vintage-inspired, with a fashion forward twist - and every pair is custom fit with anti-reflective, anti- scratch polycarbonate prescription lenses - all for $95. And for every pair of glasses sold, we provide a pair to someone in need.

We launched the company eighteen months ago and have been extremely excited and flattered by the demand for our eyewear. We have been featured in publications such as GQ, Vogue, Oprah, NY Times, Forbes, BusinessWeek, Wall Street Journal and Daily Candy, and were named one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s “100 Brilliant Ideas of 2010”. We now have tens of thousands of customers and are looking to ramp up our all-star team to meet that demand by hiring a talented, dynamic and energetic person to be an Operations Associate.

The Warby Parker Intern Program is designed to provide highly talented individuals an opportunity to learn and grow with Warby Parker. Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, Interns will have an immediate and direct impact on the success of Warby Parker through customer interactions, process improvement and special projects. While primarily focused on understanding the operations of a high growth startup, Interns will be exposed to all functional areas of the business.
Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service—in person, on the phone and over e-mail
Ensure customer orders are processed effectively and efficiently
Develop new processes to improve Warby Parker’s ability to serve customers
Engage in special projects that align personal interests and the company’s needs
Anything that is needed to give our customers an amazing shopping experience
Skills
Eager to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup
Experience with customers and strong customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
Positive attitude, high energy and an eagerness to learn
Compensation
Although this internship is unpaid, we will work with students to assist in receiving college credit. For outstanding performers, there is the possibility that the internship will turn into paid part-time or full-time employment.
