Overview
Hey There!
Lilacora is a New York City based fashion tech startup that creates ergonomic and beautiful ballet flats for the modern busy woman.
We will work with you to understand where your interest are and how they match with the needs of the business. We believe that the best team members are those that are genuinely interested in the work they do. You will master new skills, learn how to build a startup from the ground up, work autonomously, and help to create a product that will make a real difference in the daily lives of the modern busy woman.
The main thing we are look for is hunger, drive, and the ability to execute projects they are delegated from beginning to end. We are looking for people ideally with a business background or a design background, but more importantly with the drive to learn anything that is necessary to get the job done.
We work hard, have a casual dress code, and the option to work remotely one day a week. As long as the work gets done, formalities are not important :o)
Once we have a better understanding of your interests and skill sets, you will work directly with one of our co-founders on 1 or 2 projects at a time. Here's an idea of all the things we are working on at any given time:

Responsibilities
building a well designed and functional e-commerce site
designing ballet flats for the new season
designing packaging for the ballet flats
art for the marketing campaigns
technical shoe designs to be incorporated into the Kickstarter campaign video
working with retailers to increase our retail distribution
working with factories through the details of shoe production
price negotiations with factories
working with shipping and logistics companies to ensure shoes do not get stuck at customs
working with the legal team on founders and intellectual property issues
spending the day researching patent law
thinking through high level strategy with the team and formalizing them onto powerpoint presentations for investors and other partners
working on shooting and editing a video for a crowd funding campaign
buying tables/table clothes/decorations/vases/candles for our in store merchandising campaign
project management in understanding how to prioritize next steps
updating our financial model and re-projecting EBIT
working with our accountant
Compensation
Stipend at the end of the season, and lunch at Jean George.
