Overview
SalesGossip is looking for an exceptional PHP Web Developer to join an exciting fast growing startup.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in social networks, web 2.0, mobile apps and innovation, and would like to join and lead an innovative and fun start-up which is part of the London Business School community.
About SalesGossip: SalesGossip aggregates all the fashion sales and promotions in a city and online. In a nutshell SalesGossip allows:
- Shops to communicate their sales and promotions effectively to a targeted audience, increasing footfall and revenues in their stores. Whether it is a seasonal sale, flash sale, sample sale or an exclusive promotion.
- Shoppers to find out about ANY fashion promotions going on in the high street and online. From H&M to Hermes, Joseph to John Lewis, Mothercare to Miu Miu. Online and on their mobile. They can also sign up to email and text alerts to get to know about the sale before anyone else.
SalesGossip is growing very fast with more than 700 fashion brands and retailers featured, 1000s of shoppers checking out the service on a daily basis and has won several awards in the innovation and digital industry. SalesGossip is also backed by several high profile angel investors in London.

Responsibilities
The web-developer will be in charge on supporting our CTO (an LBS alumn) to successfully execute the company’s business mission through development and deployment of SalesGossip’s mobile and online presence. This requires envisioning the company’s service offerings as a mobile and web-based business, leading implementation of web and mobile applications, and planning for risk and growth. This is a hands-on role which includes coding and strategic thinking
Experience
Experience developing and managing web application in PHP, AJAX, MySql, web 2.0, e-Commerce, and social networks.
Ability to identify user requirements and develop specifications.
Familiarity with technical requirements of Internet marketing and search engine optimization.

Education
Masters in Computer Science and/or demonstrated skills in web development
