join a 30 employee startup based in SF poised for success... investors are world class... all the other team members have records of success from winning companies like Tellme, ePiphany, Unicru/Kronos and Taleo.
Ideally this person would be in SF but we are open to strong players working remotely.
land key reference accounts at an early stage but in way that generates revenue sooner than later, not just sell mangers on pilots but convince C level executes of the vision and business intelligence value of the SaaS.
lead, build, grow and Manage the Sales function; work closely with CEO and Bus Dev to institute process and strategy of pricing model, key accounts and client relationship building are critical
appropriate record of success at both startups and larger companies would be ideal
Strong negotiator of early stage big Enterprise deals, not just pilots
Ability to manage and build a team
skills in management and implementation of sales process
CRM, ERP or similar SaaS background especially if in HCM or related space to Taleo, Peoplesoft, Successfactors and such would be ideal
what a VP would expect with a VC funded startup both in terms of cash/equity
