Overview
You are a Java expert with an entrepreneurial mindset looking to make a big impact on the technology and development strategy of a company. We need an excellent Java developer to augment the design / development of our current environmental commodities trading platform, while participating in the analysis and conception of new technologies and products. This is a full time position in our Stamford office with a benefits and a competitive compensation package. This is an opportunity to get involved with and early stage venture backed startup where you could have a major impact on the company and the world.
Responsibilities
Leading in the technical analysis and conception of new products
Design and development of both the UI and server
Assisting in the deployment and administration of our environments
Skills
A Core Java expert (J2EE), with experience on both the server and UI.
Knowledge in JSF (Java Server Faces) for a browser based real-time UI application.
HTML5 experience a big plus
PHP knowledge also desirable
A strong believer in Agile and iterative / testing based development
An open-source and Linux supporter, with experience in frameworks (JBoss / Hibernate)
Education
A CS or Math graduate – or someone who is passionate about applying the latest software ideas to their personal and professional life.
