Overview
Well-funded financial technology start-up looking for a JS developer to be key player on our team.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a variety of core services in JavaScript. Our application performs a number of traditional server-side tasks on the client, so JavaScript is used in lieu of PHP/other server-side languages.
Develop interactive data visualizations and charts, using D3.js.
Build and maintain web user interface and user experience elements, utilizing a MVC system (Angular.js).
Collaborate to understand product requirements prior to implementation.
Work with the Product team on project specs around features, prioritization, and user experience.
Ensure continuous quality through code testing, bug fixing, and feature changes based on customer feedback.
Skills
Excellent JavaScript (and jQuery) skills.
Degree in computer science, or relevant experience.
Familiarity with data visualization in JavaScript a plus, specifically using D3.js.
Familiarity with Angular.js a plus.
Experience with both front-end and back-end application development.
Proven experience translating complicated information and user flows into elegant, intuitive solutions.
Experience in data visualization best practices a major plus.
Excellent communicator and collaborator.
