Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Junior Front-End Developer to be the primary front-end developer on our Marketing Team. This role will have front-end development responsibilities in implementing numerous landing pages and signup flows, as well as animated banner ads. Having front-end design experience is also a plus, as the candidate with have the opportunity to participate in the design of product features, landing pages and ads. The candidate will also have the opportunity to have a significant impact on performance of the site through cross-browser optimization as well as testing front-end load times.
The candidate will work directly with the marketing team, lead designer, and Rails development team and will play an important role in optimizing our growing online and TV marketing efforts.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:
Must be up to date with industry standards and be following the advancements with HTML5 and CSS3
Conscientious developer who validates his/her code, codes semantically, and understands how to develop for multiple browsers and devices
Experience designing web pages and web advertising.
Enjoy working in a fast paced environment with small agile development teams
Experience analyzing & optimizing webpages for front-end load time.
Ability to properly build and utilize CSS Sprites.
Ensure brand and design standards are met on every project.
Define style guidelines for new and current brand look and feel.
Knowledge of UI design including typography, color and layout.
Optional, but would be a huge plus
Experience working with a Rails Development team
Experience writing CoffeeScript
Familiar with Bootstrap CSS framework
Skills
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Adobe Photo Shop and Illustrator
Expert level HTML skills
Expert level CSS skills
Fluent in JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and the DOM
Experience with Flash, especially animated banner ads
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop
Knowledgeable about cross browser issues, and how to fix them
Team player
