Job Summary:
The Junior Editor and Contributing Writer manages and writes content for the web and is responsible for the editorial production and quality across hundreds of sites, supporting the Editor.
Goals for Position:
The Junior Editor and Contributing Writer works to ensure that all web content is well-written, error-free and is published on time. This position calls for an extremely detailed-oriented individual who can complete work quickly with little supervision and minimal editing. The written content produced by this person will range from feature articles for national publication to more tedious SEO copy. Therefore the successful candidate must be creative, determined and flexible

Responsibilities
1. Write and edit finance-based stories
2. Use analytics and data to track article performance
3. Ensure that all content is optimized, relevant, error-free and grammatically correct
Experience
1. 1-2 years of editorial experience, either print or web
2. Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
3. Knowledge of AP style
4. Familiarity with HTML
5. Basic SEO knowledge
6. Basic content management experience; familiarity with WordPress a plus
7. Well-organized, positive, can-do attitude
8. Thrives in demanding, deadline-driven environment
Education
B.A in Journalism, English or related field
Finance experience a plus
