Our 10-person startup in Pasadena develops community software that already powers thousands of custom social network websites. We’ve just completed the famed TechStars accelerator program, and we are now expanding our 100% in-house team to include another support technician. Unlike most support-oriented roles, this requires a high degree of programming skill as our support team is also responsible for developing important patches and updates.
Responsibilities
Provide consistent support to our clients via support tickets.
Install our software on customers' servers when necessary.
Implement creative solutions for improving our workflow.
Roll out bug patches and updates - help us keep making SocialEngine better.
Experience
Plus: Experience with frameworks like Zend Framework
Plus: Experience with working on other community software products
Plus: Connections to potential customers or other community software vendors
Plus: Cloud hosting experience
Skills
Must be proficient with PHP, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
Must be very familiar with LAMP
Must be able to work with the team in our Pasadena office and with our customers via email.
Strong communication skills are absolutely required.
