Overview
Are you looking to join an exciting startup in New York City? This may be the opportunity for you. Catchpoint Systems is a New York City company that offers application performance monitoring to Fortune 1000 and top internet companies. Our web based platform helps clients get insight into what is impacting the performance, availability, and reliability of their websites or applications, allowing them to quickly address any issues before they impact revenue. Our clients include 24/7 Real Media, Business Insider, and Wayfair.
We are looking for two junior software engineers with 2+ years of experience in either: C#, C++, or Java, to join our engineering team. You will be working closely with our engineers in building web based applications and services utilizing ASP.NET, C#, LINQ, WCF, JQuery, HTML, Javascript and CSS. You will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and energetic work environment where you can learn hands on about all these technologies and receive real life experience in building and designing multi-tier systems, design patterns, unit/automated testing, and more.

Experience
Experience in one of the following languages: C#, C++, or Java
Knowledge of classes, components, objects, interfaces, and key design patterns
Knowledge of basic relational database concepts
Experience in C#, .NET Framework , Linq, SQL, JQuery, Unit Testing.
Experience in writing multi-threaded applications and services a plus.
Experience in developing and integrating with WCF and/or other Webservice frameworks a plus.
Experience in building websites or web applications a plus.
Experience in writing client/server applications a plus.
Experience with HTML, Javascript, and CSS a plus.
Experience with JavaScript charting libraries a plus.
Skills
Willingness to learn and utilize emerging technologies
Good organization skills
Detail oriented
Willingness to jump in and assist.
Willingness to dig deeper to understand infrastructure/code/business
Enjoy the coding process
Education
Candidate must have finished a 4 year degree in Computer Science or related major.
