WebPT believes in empowering the rehab community to achieve greatness in therapy practice. That’s why we created an intuitive, web-based electronic medical record solution and combined it with exceptional, comprehensive practice management services. WebPT gives therapists peace of mind, so they can get back to what truly matters—their patients.
But we can’t do it alone, and that’s why we want you.
As a WebPT team member, you’ll be a part of something big. Really big. Not only will you work with—and learn from—creative, talented, and driven individuals, you’ll contribute your creativity, talent, and drive (oh, and spectacular sense of humor) to make us better. All while rocking flip flops and casual clothes in an awesome renovated warehouse in historic downtown Phoenix.
Here, we collaborate; we innovate; we change the game. Ready to jump in?
As WebPT’s Linux System Administrator, you’ll join a dynamic operations team, and together, you’ll build the next generation platform of our application infrastructure.
Learn about, monitor, and report on operating system, application, and database performance.
Identify bottlenecks and make recommendations to keep ahead of our growth curve.
Be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation, and be willing to perform occasional weekend work (about once every six weeks).
Throw business casual to the wind. We want casual-casual. Rock flip flops and jeans. We don’t care, so long as you do good work and enjoy yourself.
Get ready to fly by the seat of your pants. This role is ever-evolving—just like WebPT—so while you don’t need to be Cirque du Soleil flexible, we may occasionally ask you to do a few cartwheels, or at least try some things outside of your wheelhouse.
Qualifications: For this position, we’re looking for a candidate with five or more years’ experience in the following areas:
Rackmount enterprise hardware (e.g., Sun, IBM, and SuperMicro)
CentOS/Red Hat 5 or 6
Bash, Perl, or PHP scripting
Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate skills in the following:
Virtualization (KVM or VMWare)
High availability architecture (DRBD, Heartbeat)
Load balancing (F5 LTM, HAProxy)
IPTables, Tripwire, and other host-based Linux security tools
JunOS SRX and EX
In addition to all the aforementioned tech wizardry, the candidate should also:
Analyze and problem-solve like a champ.
Be organized, ahead of schedule, communicative, and accountable—in short, own your role entirely, while being open to critiques, suggestions, and new ideas.
Go to Las Vegas periodically. (Sounds pretty tough, right?) In all seriousness, though, we need someone who’s up for the occasional journey to our Vegas data center.
Know how to roll up your sleeves. We have a lot of brass tacks here, and we like to get down to ’em.
Let’s talk culture: energy, integrity, positivity, a hunger for knowledge, and a passion for your role and team.
