Vine is seeking a Lead Android Engineer to join our growing mobile team.

Responsibilities

Lead development of the first version of Vine for Android
Work with Product Design to create UI’s that delight our growing user base
Interface with the API team and other engineering groups to deliver well integrated solutions
Prototype product concepts frequently
Mentor other mobile engineers as we continue to grow our team and product set
Contribute ideas for new features and identify areas for improvement proactively
Own software quality for Vine on Android
Qualifications

An intimate knowledge of the Android ecosystem and community
7+ years of object-oriented software development experience
3+ years developing high performance Android applications
B.S in computer science or comparable
Experience developing with the NDK
Experience developing applications for Android that use the camera and video playback
Comfortable working through the entire stack from user interface through the systems levels
Love to hack
Desired

Contributions to open source projects
Experience developing applications for iOS
Active user of Vine and Twitter
