Manage, maintain, and monitor uptime of Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL databases
Manage ETL processes and our Data Warehouse
Regularly evaluate of the performance of queries and work with the engineering team to optimize them
Oversee our data architecture and craft a strategy to use the most appropriate data source for the content
Participate in a 24x7 on-call duty rotation
Participate in service capacity planning, vendor selection, deploying new systems
Design, test, implement, and maintain Oracle high availability solutions
Work with the quality teams to create test methods and tools
Provide technical assistance to and mentor junior members of the team
Allocate storage and develop plans for future storage requirements
8+ years of experience as a production Oracle DBA in a Linux/Unix environment
5+ years of experience in data warehouse design and ETL processes
5+ years of experience in scripting languages
Experience in setting up replication with distributed data in Oracle and MySQL environments is required
Experience setting up Disaster Recovery in Oracle environment is highly desired
Experience with MongoDB a plus
Experience with database related storage technologies preferred
Extensive experience in tuning Linux for Oracle a plus
Good communication skills and intellectual curiosity to explore new technologies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field of study
