Overview
We are a firm that is constantly taking on new projects with A list clients seeking to explore exciting new technologies. If you're a solid developer who craves novelty and loves to push boundaries, you've come to the right place. Although we work on large projects, we are a small team and you will have an immense impact. For our current project we are creating some truly amazing solutions around an online collaborative social networking platform. As we embark upon the very beginning stages for producing this platform,we need an experienced and talented individual with an extensive background in building complex web environments who can help develop some of the most innovative technologies on the web. You will help the firm on a contract basis for development and implementation of this new web platform. Your work could lead to a permanent position in the future.
Responsibilities
You will lead the way to help design and implement back-end development and programming for the website.
Experience
You must show extensive knowledge and experience with PHP by providing examples/portfolio of work. If you also have experience creating applications using Flash (not just Flex), then that would be great to know as well.

Qualifications
PHP development
OOP experience
Extensive experience with architecture / design patterns
Experience with database implementation: MySQL or similar
Code standards
Data services integration: XML, JSON, SOAP, etc.
Problem solving
Debugging
Quality testing
Knowledge and experience with REST
Writing (for team / client communication, documentation, comments, etc)
Verbal communication and interpersonal skills for team / client interaction
High level understanding of social networking platform products / libraries
High level understanding of server development and databases
Competent understanding of HTML, JS, CSS
Community awareness (online resources, frameworks, etc)
