Do you want to transform the way people think about athletic coaching around the world?
AthletifyMe is looking for a Lead Developer to build a solution to meet the rapidly growing demand for online video coaching. Coaching in the US is a $6.1 billion annual market, and we aim to be the first company to bring this market 100% online. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with expertise in building scalable, extensible and user-friendly web applications (largely Ruby on Rails). The Lead Developer would help architect and maintain the world’s first web based coaching service. The position will participate in the architecture, design, and implementation, enabling our product for large scale and cloud based deployment, and will work in a small, fast-moving team.

As the lead developer, you will help build a world class website and innovate for millions of amateur athletes worldwide
Make recommendations on the technology, platform and tool best suited for the goal
Experience
Excellent software development skills with proven experience in building scalable web applications (ideally Ruby on Rails with database support)
Demonstrated excellence in developing web-based user interface and back-end software modules
Strong knowledge of web services (REST) paradigms, web servers, (e.g. MongoDB), and dynamic web technologies (e.g. FLEX)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to achieve results on tight timelines and desire to work in a highly-motivated, self-starter environment
Compensation
Combination of cash and equity negotiable based on experience
