Lead Development Engineer /Manager

Responsibilities
Head the complete software development process with a team of agile software developers, with an overall responsibility for a 24x7 web, mobile, social media and API platforms that power a local-focused online service.
Experience
• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and testing of
scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant ecommerce web applications for the internet. Of those 8 years, at least 2 years in managing and leading development teams.
• Prior experience in building & managing consumer facing internet applications
•
Skills
Must have expertise in object-oriented design methodology and web application development. Hands on expertise in one of the major platforms Java, Ruby on Rails or LAMP
• Working knowledge of HTTP, HTML, Java, servlets, web servers, application servers, SQL, and relational databases.
• Prefer knowledge of CSS, Javascript, JSP, and PHP.
• Prefer experience with Apache, Tomcat, Spring, REST, Ajax, JSON, MySQL, Solr, Linux, Eclipse, Maven, JIRA, and SVN.
• Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills.
• A collaborative, team player possessing the ability to work alongside business and product teams.
