Gamely, a Brooklyn-based sports startup, is looking for a full stack, lead engineer to ramp up development of the product.
Gamely is an online, social archive for memorable games and sporting events. Anyone can add photos, videos, articles, audio, quotes, tweets or whatever you feel captures the essence of the game. We help you tell the, "Where were you when..." story to the rest of the sports world.
We're set to release a private beta over the coming weeks.
I'm looking for someone that has a deep-seated passion for sports, tech and creating cool stuff. You understand the raw emotions that are unique to sports and want to bring that magic to life on all the wonderful devices of today. Not just a dev for hire, but a partner that wants to hit the gym at 6 AM and stay up for every AL West game until 2 in the morning.
As Nas once said "The World Is Yours," the product is yours my friend and we'll rely upon your awesomeness and vision to make Lebron say, "I'm taking my talents to Gamely."
Years is irrelevant, but what is important is the number of projects and users you have managed.
Built a consumer-oriented website/app that achieved modest scalability
Worked for a startup in its infancy
Send over previous projects from the good, the bad and the ugly
PHP5 and experience with popular PHP frameworks (Yii, CodeIgniter, Zend)
API Integration experience; particularly Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, Soundcloud and FB
Don't have to be an expert in all of these, but should have a good command of MVC and frameworks so we can quickly adapt to the most applicable solution
If you can hack, you can hack.
Equity and modest salary will be determined by your experience and financial needs.
