Isis, a mobile and contactless commerce start-up, is striving to revolutionize how consumers shop and pay with mobile devices. This position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer at Isis. Lead Issuer, Business Development will be responsible for negotiating deals with major card issuing banks, credit unions, and processors to rapidly expand the cards available for consumers to load into their Isis Mobile Wallets. The Leader will help to identify new partnership opportunities based upon corporate objectives, maintain extensive knowledge of the card market, and work with the CMO to cultivate the relationships, and inspire enthusiasm for immediate engagement within the executive ranks of the top financial institutions in the United States. The position is primarily tasked with positioning Isis as a priority, identifying key stakeholders at the banks, and working on all key deal points through to contract signing and execution. This position will be a senior individual contributor role, dealing directly with the executive leads at the banks, and shepherding the key deal terms within Isis across Legal, Product Development, Product Management, and Design.

Manage and execute contract negotiations with new business partners across debit, credit, gift, private label, and aggregation partners.
Assist CMO in identifying the right executive sponsors at the financial institutions who can push a new, complex integration to the priority list.
Develop, review, and report on business development activities ensuring that the CMO and other internal stakeholders are informed on key terms, and deal progress.
Develop and maintain values and reputation with all applicable staff, customers, suppliers and partners.
Maintain thorough knowledge of important market trends and businesses delivering services in core, complementary and adjacent industries.
Ensure management has a perspective on opportunities and threats that may surface as a result of the related trends.
Research, evaluate and recommend business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.
Manage contract negotiations and bring deals to closure through close partnership with other business leaders and legal counsel as required.
Assist the CMO in preparing materials to deliver compelling presentations and proposals to senior leadership and equity holders to support recommended opportunities
Remain keenly aware of organizational growth initiatives and target opportunities that both complement or extend them.
A Business Development professional who is well trained in business development, corporate development, or corporate strategy - with 10 or more years of direct negotiations with major card issuers.
Must be familiar market insights, key trends impacting the banks, and how to navigate the regulatory waters to close deals.
Solid understanding of the technology that supports the mobile, commerce, or payments industries. A strong understanding of the Isis platform is preferred.
