Overview
Merchant Exchange aims to develop a universal consumer identity. By standardizing the fragmented consumer loyalty marketing landscape, we’re revolutionizing the way brands communicate with and reward their customers.
Merchant Exchange is seeking a talented PHP developer to take the lead in continuing to build out the back-end of our core consumer-facing web platform. As a critical member of a dynamic and highly-motivated team, you will take a senior role working directly with the founders and current developers, and will be responsible for managing the existing code architecture as well as expanding it to include new functionality.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. for other than practical training.

Experience
Experience building and deploying scalable web applications
Experience processing and parsing large volumes of data via SQL and APIs
Background in rapid development with agile methodologies
Skills
Familiarity with the CodeIgniter framework and working knowledge of Java is ideal
Passion for large-scale disruptive innovation
Maniacal about creating flawless, defect-free code
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, non-bureaucratic environment
Excellent communication skills
A desire to have fun
Education
Degree in CS or related field from top ranked university
