This is an early startup environment, so you will work directly with the founders and lead technical team to handle a variety of tasks potentially out of your role, so you must be agile and competent in a variety of areas. Responsibilities
As lead of web design, you will design and develop critical elements of our web presence, as well as work directly with the founding team to advise on elements of design in our mobile and other products.
Experience
You are a self-sufficient designer; you can both produce a vision and then execute on it, quickly.
Familiarity with web development tools, languages, and lifecycle (HTML/CSS/Python/Ruby etc.)
Passion for working on big ideas, but with a discipline to accomplish tasks
Passion for user-centric design and UI
Ability to work quickly
Portfolio or links to prior work required
Portfolio features user-friendly web design and creative branding work
Deep knowledge of typography and grid systems
Excellent HTML + CSS skills
3+ years designing for the web
Expert Adobe skills
Pixel-perfect attention to detail
Can clearly articulate design decisions
History of self-initiated projects
Writes well and understands basic content strategy
