I couldn't take it anymore... talking heads droning on and on during games. So, I decided to make it stop.
Our mission is to let sports fans decide. Fans make the call. Never watch sports the same way again… now there are options.
LetMeHearYa enables user generated sports broadcasting. Fans create live commentary alongside their favorite sporting events on TV. Our system enables anyone to broadcast their own opinions and perspectives to listeners, who can choose to listen to any number of broadcasters, based on their specific entertainment tastes. LetMeHearYa is the perfect "second screen" companion for live sports on TV.
WHAT STAGE IS OUR COMPANY?
We raised a 6-figure seed round to get to market.
We have a functioning alpha product, and our next steps are to build up our consumer audience. We need a top-notch experience and design in order to grow our listener base as fast as possible.
So, your risk/reward is such: a paid short-term project with hopes that we will be a great fit to move forward.
WHAT VOICE WILL THE DESIGNER HAVE IN THE COMPANY?
I have a people philosophy based on three pillars:

You will report to me, but your true responsibility is to the users

1. Simplifying product use
2. Create interactive participation by users
3. Engage and retain early adopters
WHO IS YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE?
Avid sports fans. Blog readers, chat room participants, fantasy sports players, etc.
Responsibilities
Design the first version of our consumer experience
Develop intuitive and engaging user interfaces and interactions
Work closely with the CEO and Technical Lead to make the consumer product a reality
Create wireframes and mockups for the listener side of the product
Create wireframes and mockups for the broadcaster side of the product
Establish a long-term vision for the look and feel of our consumer-facing products
Experience
3+ years experience in User Experience and/or Interactive Design
2+ years experience developing social and viral Internet applications (via widgets, FB integration, social network integration, etc.)
Skills
Demonstrated experience creating simple interfaces for large consumer audiences
Demonstrated experience developing web applications for a small consumer audience
Experience with streaming media and user generated content is strongly preferred
Compensation
Initially project based with hopes of continued employment
