Overview
A world leading Investment Bank is looking for a talented and conscientious Linux Engineer to join their High Frequency Systems team and are prepared to offer a highly attractive compensation package to the right individual.
In terms of technical skills, here’s what you will need:
• Extensive experience with Linux operating systems
• Strong understanding of enterprise level Linux security & implementation
• Experience in server performance tuning (kernel, memory, network)
• Shell and Perl scripting and/or C or C++
In terms of technical skills, here’s what is beneficial:
• Experience engineering low-latency solutions in a trading environment
• Strong understanding of IP protocol, multicast and other network concepts
• Understanding/experience with the Veritas Suite of products
In terms of technical skills, here’s what you will need:

Responsibilities
In terms of responsibilities, here’s what you will be handling:
Work on engineering related efforts to enhance/support our electronic trading business
Optimize servers for low-latency performance in a high frequency trading environment.
Troubleshooting in a high pressure environment working alongside network, security and development teams
Writing Shell and Perl scripts
