Overview
LiveProfile is seeking an experienced BlackBerry developer to help architect and build our mobile application. We are a fast-paced mobile start-up looking for a creative, talented, and energetic individual to add to our team. You'll be engineering mobile applications which help shape our mobile strategy that will be used by millions on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement new features along side designers and fellow developers
Contribute creativity and critical thinking to optimally implement new features
Investigate new bugs while comprehensibly test one's own code for bugs and efficiency
Offer thought leadership and reliable execution ability in a fast-paced environment
Have ability to multi-task, prioritize work load, and meet deadlines
Identify potential performance problems and optimization possibilities
Investigate bug reports, develop fixes, and implement improvements
Experience
Strong Java development background
Minimum 1 year of BlackBerry or J2ME experience
Solid understanding of the BlackBerry platform, including custom UI and compatibility of screen and OS levels
Multi-Threading and memory management on mobile devices
BlackBerry development expertise with RIM API and Frameworks
Experience with cross-platform mobile development is a plus (Android, iPhone, Symbian)
Education
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience preferred
