Logistics and Office Coordinator

Overview
Responsible for managing the logistics and administration of Little Duck Organics operations. As LDO is in a crucial growth period, the Logistics and Office Coordinator will have an opportunity be challenged, grow and excel as well as be a part of a fast growing impact brand. In this position it is vital to effectively fulfill orders and delivery while managing customer and vendor relationships. The key to this role is having strong organizational skills, diligence and a fine attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Logistics
Understanding of transportation and logistics. Experience with EDI systems is a plus
PO fulfillment, with target of 98% on time rating
Scheduling all pick up appointments with customers and warehousing
Maintaining metrics, process documentation and procedures for all logistics activities
Routing LTL/TL
Analyzing rates and renegotiating with freight brokers
Finding the most cost effective solutions to transportation
Monitoring supply chain deliveries
Analyzing data to monitor performance and plan improvements as demand escalates
Assist CFO in applying receipts and data entry when required.
Office Management
Ordering Supplies for the office
Handling company phones
Sending BP deposits
Managing office deliveries and coordinating office logistics
Experience
Minimum of 2+ years experience, preferably in a supply chain and or distribution environment
Computer Skills (Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Knowledge with ERP and EDI Systems is a plus.
Skills
Attention to detail is imperative for success.
Must be a team player and maintain a positive attitude. Little Duck is a tight knit group who share a deep love for what they do, we want you to feel the same way and to enjoy every day
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Many times the candidate will be dealing with suppliers, customers etc. Developing a meaningful relationship with these people is vital
Must be flexible and have the ability to work well with all departments and levels of staff with collaboration and clear communication
Working with a sense of urgency and being attentive at all times is imperative to being successful in this position.
Education
Requires a B.A./B.S. degree
