Duties & Responsibilities This position is a member of the our client's Student Information System/Learning Management System agile project team, and day-to-day assignments will be within the structure of that group. Within your functional discipline you will report to the Director of Application Development, Administrative Technology Group, and be a member of the Information Technology Groups software development team.
You will work closely with the Quality Engineering, Database Services, Architecture, Project Management Office, and Technology Consulting Services teams to ensure consistent delivery of high quality solutions and adherence to the client's standards and process compliance. You will be responsible for the development, management and execution of all phases of software development, including design, development, technical documentation, builds to the integration environment, and resolving issues using issue tracking software. You will take an active part in ongoing software development process improvements.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Gather and Review Requirements & Specifications
Be involved in software project planning and strategy sessions
Design & Implement project requirements
Participate in definition, fine tuning and implementing development processes
Identify, evaluate, and select development tools
Basic Qualifications Solid understanding of PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine and SQR with version 8 or above, including responsibility for development of modifications and interfaces. Strong understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC) processes in both maintenance and implementation scenarios.
PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Required, versions 9+ desired.
Good working knowledge of the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture, PeopleTools 8.49+; Weblogic and Tuxedo.
3-5 years of programming experience with PeopleCode, Application Engine and SQR.
3-5 years experience SQL on any database (ORACLE, MSSQL).
Additional Qualifications Desired experience includes server-side development in a distributed, multi-tier, enterprise environment. Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design using .NET or J2EE platforms; Understanding of the principles of User-centric design; 5+ year software development experience with demonstrable technical leadership; Excellent communication skills and a passion for innovation; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area.
