Magento Developer

at Swappeez in Los Angeles, CA   —   Apr 10, 2014   |
Overview
We are looking for a talented LAMP developer with experience in Magento to build an online ecommerce store.

-- About Us --
Swappeez allows you to build up your shoe collection without spending a fortune or taking up too much space. With our unique technology of interchangeable straps, buckles and accessories you can assemble your custom sandals for any occassion (beach, party etc...) within minutes.

Founded in early 2010 we have seen tremendous growth in the past 15 months. Started as a two woman show in Los Angeles Swappeez has grown beyond borders to Canada, UK, Japan and the middleast and we have aggressive expansion plans.

So far our online presence was minimal and we think now it's the right time to take it to the next step. We are currently on the lookout for a Magento developer and think it's an exciting opportunity to be a part of small, ambitious and rapidly growing team.

Our team is currently spread through out the globe and location does not matter. This position is initially on contract.

We are looking to build an online presence to facilitate operations and sales through various channels and more.

Although we are present globally this does not mean one size fits all. We plan to build localization into our system to present products based on the region the user is visiting. Further we would like to build an online application to try the combinations (strap, buckles and accessories) before buying and many other interesting features.

The ideal candidate will be a LAMP developer with atleast 3 of years experience. You should have worked with Magento for a minimum of 1 year and will have have built a few online ecommerce stores which are currently operational. Further you should have thorough understanding of Javascript and jQuery. You should be able to convert PSDs to semantic html and CSS.
