Position Summary

The Product Marketing Manager will be a creative, high-energy leader who will work across the organization and with members and prospects to market our portfolio and to position Bersin and Associates as the industry leader in empowering HR professionals to drive transformation and business alignment within their organizations. Bersin & Associates offers five key practices (HR, Leadership Development, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management) to our WhatWorks® membership and will launch a series of leading edge products and capabilities in 2012.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the company’s growth to $30+ million in recurring revenue during the next several years and supporting growth into new HR discipline, vertical markets and geographies, as well as increased member usage.
Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities
Responsible for packaging, positioning and promoting Bersin & Associates’ products and services
Product marketing strategy – identifying key markets and audiences to target, which products / capabilities / messages to target for each audience
Specify member requirements for products, as well as messaging, positioning and compelling competitive value propositions.
Collect customer and prospect input on product and pricing decisions
Manage new product / service pilots
Product packaging – create packages, pricing, messaging and materials for specific audiences, in partnership with Product Management
Product launch strategy, schedule and oversight – develop overall plan and order for product and research launches, develop and maintain launch calendar, processes and project management, create launch materials as needed
Targeted programs and campaigns for key audiences (by level and / or HR discipline) and markets (verticals, members, prospects) – plan including product, communications and marketing
Develop written materials, presentations, promotions for launches and ongoing marketing campaigns; also corporate collateral and presentations that make compelling case for Bersin’s differentiation and value add
Ensure that Bersin & Associates is the go to source for HR and learning research memberships by ensuring that research and content is certified for professional development
Develop structure to collect, analyze and act on competitive information
Act as first point of contact for sales for all product, packaging, launch and sales support issues.

Key Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and flawless implementer with a track record of successful product marketing and product launches in a fast paced business to business environment. This individual understands the value of strategic positioning but can also roll up their sleeves and work on specific programs, drive execution, and build a world-class product marketing program. The successful candidate will be able to work independently in a very fast paced environment to proactively identify and solve issues and to create opportunities.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
7+ years of progressively responsible experience in product marketing, with background in both membership services and product / services for HR professionals
Strong experience working with a skilled B to B sales force to sell $30K+/year products and / or services
Demonstrated experience creating customer feedback processes and integrating feedback into product / service design
Proven ability to drive successful product marketing programs by creating compelling and differentiated packaging, pricing and messaging
Demonstrated ability to drive retention and growth through innovative and successful member marketing
Experience collecting, managing and analyzing competitive intelligence
Excellent writing, communications and presentation creation / delivery skills
Extremely organized and proactive
Demonstrated ability to be a strong product evangelist, delivering compelling presentations and pitches to executives, sales teams, customers and prospects.
