DC-based non-profit organization seeking a driven individual who can demonstrate that he/she is very organized, work hard and assume responsibility. The position will work with a team (on site and virtually) to produce entrepreneurial programs globally. Must be self directed, a problem solver, creative, curious and demonstrate an ability to execute. For thirteen years, Springboard, a non-profit venture catalyst, has moved mountains to help more than 500 women-led companies raise nearly $6billion in capital. Our network includes the founders of Zipcar, Constant Contact, iRobot and Minute Clinic and thousands of influencers, investors and innovators.
We’re searching for an individual that may have had experience working on political campaigns or in fast paced environments. such as startups or social ventures. Smiled even though you were jetlagged as you helped plan and execute our first accelerator in Sydney
Worked closely with a team of Australian investors and corporate partners, whom you had never met, to recruit, interview and select the most promising companies from a pool of over 100 applicants.
Built a virtual relationship with the 8 selected companies so that they trusted you as an ally even before they met you
Assumed the job of organizing several pitch events requiring the team to be in several places at once
Took the time to learn how to update the website and relished refreshing it weekly
Sent follow up notes to all participants before the event started to make sure they were timed to arrive the next day.

Experience
Experience in an office environment, particularly a non-profit organization
Experience with event planning or campaign management
Strong and demonstrative leadership experience with an assertive and decisive style
Beyond Excellent oral and written communication, ability to work with and manage many “difficult” personalities
Ability to assist with fundraising, development and corporate relations
Experience with developing, managing, and executing programs
Ability to assist with marketing and communications
Analytical, computer and organizational skills
Willingness to problem solve and to assume a leadership role
Experience with or an informed interest in business ownership and finance
