Giveacar is a start-up social enterprise that organises the donation of cars to charity. Founded in January 2010, Giveacar introduced the idea of car donation to the UK, opening up a new revenue stream for charities that previously did not exist. It remains the market leader in this field.
Giveacar has attracted considerable attention from the media, with recent articles in several national papers and coverage on BBC TV. But it is still a new concept and there are several development ideas waiting to be explored.
We are looking to hire a Managing Director to lead the company and take it forward.
This as an amazing opportunity for an ambitious, entrepreneurial person to lead a young start-up through an exciting stage in its development.
The company is based in Fulham, London, and operates nationwide.
Responsiblities - You will
Be raising £40 - 50,000 per month for hundreds of wonderful causes. This is a base and you will be expected to build on it.
Be in full control of a young start-up with fantastic growth potential. We’ve cultivated a fun, friendly atmosphere.
Have the opportunity to develop new ideas and grow the enterprise through multiple channels.
Skills and Responsibilities
To run Giveacar and develop the company’s potential you will need a wide range of business skills. Most enquiries come to us through the web, so some experience in a business with a strong web presence and an e-commerce channel would be an advantage.

Manage a team of three full-time employees, as well as a number of unpaid interns.
Terms:
Basic of £30,000, rising to £40,000 dependent on performance. Equity stake negotiable.

The successful candidate
We are looking for an imaginative and entrepreneurial self-starter to take this enterprise forward. Growth has been strong since inception, and we would like to maintain this growth pattern. To do so, you will need to be committed, creative, and able to develop and action new ideas.
Qualifications:
The key qualifications are a genuine interest in raising money for good causes combined with an entrepreneurial, imaginative outlook and strong general management skills. You will be educated to degree level
