We're a two engineers strong, hard-working team, completely revolutionizing the way you retrieve information about the physical, offline world.
We're looking for our first non-tech hire (intern) who wants to be part of something really important and super cool.
Responsibilities
Monitor, moderate, reach out to and engage with our LocalUncle community
Talk to users, gather feedback and come up with great new product ideas
Reach out to and manage press
Tweet, Facebook, YouTube, blog, dailybooth, instagram, pinterest, WUPHF etc. the bejesus out of the interwebs
Work closely with the two founders, bring new and creative ideas to the table on how to improve product, distribution and any other aspect of the organization.
Experience
Exceptional writing skills
Experience is a plus but not required. Like already mentioned, you can be “new” to social media and web/mobile startups but have to be excited about this field, willing and able to learn fast
Skills
Super creative but also quantitative and analytical
Very interested in the web, social media, mobile (especially iPhone). Ideally, you read TechCrunch, Techmeme, blog regularly and have a bunch of followers on Twitter.
Proactive, driven, friendly, intriguing and a bit crazy
You should be ready to ride the high highs and the low lows of startup life with us and keep it cool. We’re in it to win it, and so should you!
Education
Student, or recent grad in Marketing, Business, Economics, Communication, English Literature or equivalent. Actually, your background doesn’t really matter. You can be an astrophysicist, architect, lawyer or burnt out Wall Street banker looking for a career change. If we see the fire in your eyes and are ready to learn, you just might have found your startup!
Compensation
You'll start as an unpaid intern for the first few weeks. If you prove yourself, we'll turn it into a paid position.
