We are a start-up company currently in beta stage that provides a cutting edge (pun 'intended), SaaS product solution to the restaurant and hospitality industry and community. Our home is here in San Francisco, and we provide a web/mobile-based application that will enhance operations of both front and back the house management. This position will report to the Sales Manager.

Our small, but growing team are extremely excited about what we're doing, and we are looking for creative, ambitious, and most importantly, enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the industry to join our dynamic group. The right fit is a person that is outgoing, has great relationship skills, polished and passionate about the culinary world.

As an Intern with our company, you will wear many hats that will be key in reaching our collective goals. You will build a strong network in the space while engaging with industry leaders both online, and in person. A key part of your responsibilities will be developing new leads, and providing assistance while collaborating with our Marketing, Sales, Operations and Management team.

You must love the culinary world, as you will be surrounded by that same energy on a daily basis. This role will require 15-20 hours per week of your schedule, where you will be working remotely while reporting to the team on a daily basis. Your role will be evaluated after 90 days that can turn into a permanent and paid position.

Responsibilities
Work closely with the team to implement community engagement strategy
Develop and execute community initiatives as part of the overall marketing strategy
Identify and maintain relationships with key local and target markets
Develop and maintain relationships with influential leaders in the industry.
Be able to assist the entire team with projects needed to achieve set goals.
You will attend industry events and engage with current clients and/or prospects while promoting product features
Keeping Salesforce updated with client and prospect details
Performing research to help identify key prospects as directed by the Sales Manager
Skills
Passion for food
Front and/or back of the house restaurant or catering experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel)
Salesforce.com experience is a big plus
Enthusiastic and be able to adapt to changes
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining nimble
Able to work with little supervision
You are a self-starter who can get things done without much guidance
You are always seeking to challenge yourself
Ideally you have existing relationships with influential leaders in the restaurant community and food sector
A background in sales and/or marketing and/or operations
You have a desire to be part of an ambitious team and want to make an immediate impact in the industry.
Ability to work hard to secure a spot on our long-term company vision
Education
Culinary and/or Hospitality Background, Undergraduate or Post Graduate Degree, currently enrolled in a culinary program and/or university. Sales experience is a definite plus.
