Marketing Manager

Do you have passion for building a growing brand with incredible potential? Rapid Ratings is a dynamic ratings, research & analytics firm headquartered in New York City that brings objectivity, accuracy and innovation to a variety of traditional, analogue industries. We are looking for a professional who will have responsibilities ranging across Rapid Ratings' marketing efforts, including messaging, advertising, web and social media strategy, copywriting and sales campaigning, as well as press and event coordination. The Marketing Manager will also be responsible for maintaining standards for all written content, communications and publishing, ensuring compliance with brand standards. This is a dynamic role – you will be integrally involved in the internal workings of every department within the company, and your input will be valued.
Two to five years of marketing experience.
Media fluency required. InDesign, Photoshop and HTML/CSS skills a plus.
Outstanding writing/editing skills – must be adept at developing strong and engaging communications, able to convey benefits of a service to different audiences and to write easily in different forms that include marketing brochures, blog posts, editorial bylines and email campaigns.
Finance knowledge – must have a sound understanding of the financial services industry. Experience in financial services is preferred.
Comfort working in a young company with dynamic and evolving responsibilities.
Operational skills – must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and organized, and able to plan ahead for the coming quarter and year. Must also be comfortable multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Talent in relationship management – should be curious and resourceful, and able to target and approach multiple audiences. We are looking for someone who can data mine for stories in large volumes of published company ratings, make those stories digestible to each appropriate audience, and disseminate them through various communication channels appropriately. Must have tangible examples of your ability to produce content and cultivate interactive social communities.
Excellent analytical skills – must be able to track, analyze and summarize campaign and project effectiveness and make improvements accordingly.
Strategic thinking aptitude – should be a creative thinker accomplished at identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance marketing communications, ultimately to generate inbound leads.
Bachelors degree (marketing or communications-based education a plus).
