How we define Marketing:

Marketing communicates who StyledOn is to the marketplace. It is our voicebox and our digital self. StyledOn is creating a social network that is laser focused on “style”, and we are looking for individuals who, through smart story-telling, not only intrigue: users, partners, fashion houses, affiliates, and industry leaders, but also convert them to be part of the StyledOn community. Marketing works closely with our Product team, making sure that our products vibe with our community, and, most importantly, are communicated properly. We demand a lot from our marketing corps. They must be masters of both online and offline communication, and be fluent in all forms of the new mediums.

The role: Marketing Manager – Online

Do you find perverse pleasure in rattling off benchmarks for CTR, conversion rates, bounce rates and other metrics? Do you enjoy the challenge of driving customer acquisition via online advertising, the excitement of picking up “users” one-by-one and knowing just where they came from? StyledOn is looking for an Online Marketing guru and fanatic. We are a creative bunch, with VC backing, and we are looking to try new, inventive strategies to cut through all the noise and grow our base. Your mission will be to grow our base using all online tools necessary. That includes our website, mobile platform, email communications, social media outlets, community outreach efforts, viral, etc, and, making sure all messaging is in sync.
We are first and foremost an online, living and breathing community of style focused individuals. Your most important charge is to foster this community, through all creative means necessary via:
You own all online and mobile sites and tools. That means every word represented on those tools/sites comes from your talented mind.
You live and breathe SEO/SEM. You eat CTR, CPM, and site analytics for breakfast.
We are a startup, so, smart marketing better be in your DNA. We are not fans of the “spray and pray” method of marketing.
Analyze, report, optimize, and repeat until we become efficient in all online marketing efforts.
Maximize brand exposure and value-add for the StyledOn user-base.
Support negotiations with partner marketing efforts.
Create, manage, and report on online marketing campaigns.
Map out “choose your adventure” on our site and mobile tools for all our siloed users.
Strategically align all customer touch points, working closely with editorial, creative and marketing teams to ensure that all online marketing activities are in keeping with the brand values and guidelines.
Write creative briefs for internal teams and ad agency.
Investigate & evaluate new partnership opportunities, including strategic charitable partnerships, then launch partnerships and manage their ongoing development.
Generate ideas for promotions and campaigns, including launching third party promotions such as competitions, offers and subscription drives.
Develop “online gaming dynamics” to help engage our community.
Come up with at least one viral campaign per quarter.
7-10 years of online marketing experience
Demonstrated success developing and executing launch marketing plans
Experience managing agencies to hit targets
Experience with SEO/SEM, social and mobile marketing tools and programs
Proven experience managing paid media budgets with P&L consideration
Experience managing large-scale projects (manage timelines, deliverables, etc.)
Deep focus on campaign performance metrics across channels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; executive presentation skills
Excellent vendor and partner management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment while managing multiple priorities
Team-oriented and collaborative approach to managing cross functional teams
Well-informed and passionate about the social collaboration space.
• Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field; MBA is a plus
