The Role

The role will span MarketInvoice’s Marketing and PR efforts, requiring the successful candidate to take on a significant amount of responsibility in terms of driving brand awareness, media coverage, new business and ultimately bottom-line profit.

Blogging & Copywriting: Source and build relationships with relevant, value-adding blogs and news sites to which MarketInvoice can contribute regular blog postings. Write engaging, relevant content and work on an ongoing basis with blog editors and journalists to ensure a steady stream of MarketInvoice content appearing on their sites.
Customer Communications: The successful candidate will be tasked with drafting compelling client case studies, press releases and a wide range of customer communications such as newsletters and general announcements. The candidate will be in charge of scheduling these communications and overseeing their creation and successful execution.
Media Engagement: Work with the Directors and any external media resource on proactive and reactive media engagement. This can be via arranging journalist meetings, pitching stories, forward-planning for upcoming macro-events relevant to MarketInvoice as well as reacting intelligently and opportunistically to external news events.
Press Office Function: In order to support the media engagement work, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production and organisation of all media collaterals that will be required regularly by journalists interested in covering MarketInvoice. This includes photographs, logos, case studies and media packs. Ensuring that the business at all times has up-to-date, intelligently segmented journalist lists is critical.
Media Monitoring: Stay on top of the news agenda and ensure that the Directors are kept up to date with general media trends and coverage relevant to MarketInvoice. The successful candidate will have to also stay abreast of the journalists covering both MarketInvoice and the competition, keeping a coherent record of all media coverage and engagement.
Social Media: Take ownership of MarketInvoice’s Social Media touch-points across Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, driving further engagement across the different platforms. The candidate
1-2 years’ experience working in an online marketing and/or a PR environment.
A basic understanding and experience of working with HTML and WordPress.
A basic understanding and experience of SEO Marketing and Google Analytics.
Writing Skills: The ability to write compelling, original and creative content on a wide range of issues and for a wide range of publications.
Organisation: The ability to efficiently and effectively manage a large and diverse workload.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous work ethic and a strong desire to ensure all output is of excellent, consistent quality.
People Skills: The ability to sell a story, negotiate effectively and build lasting relationships with a diverse group of individuals.
Creative Thinking: A good instinct and understanding of upcoming trends, opportunities and how internal assets can be used or created to hook onto them.
Analytical Prowess: The desire to ensure all actions, no matter how big or small, are genuinely value-adding, and an ability to effectively analyse results and returns on investment.
Passion & Determination: A desire to make a tangible difference to customers, a readiness to take on high levels of responsibility and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Degree: 2.1 degree or higher. Ideally in a relevant field such as marketing or advertising though not a requirement.
Salary of £22-26K per annum depending on experience.
Potential to receive Company stock options (performance related).
Holiday allowance of 25 days per annum.
